I'm also a little confused. If you're asking what I do aside from work in a typical week...
Run/Gym, grab drinks at a local bar, read, surf the web, smoke cigars.
Sometimes pounding red hot steel on the anvil, sometimes welding, sometimes making furniture, sometimes micro-controller based electronics, sometimes working on the vehicles, sometimes working on the yard, sometimes going to the bar. Almost always eating supper with the family.
I think it's best to get a little bit of both throughout the course of the week...
Active-- Soccer, Basketball both in pickup fashion with a usual crew of buddies.. the occasional treadmill run when we can't get enough guys to play.
Relaxed-- Cooking with the girl.. catching up on DVR'd TV shows.. playing videogames.. meeting up with a friend for a drink or two, or going to see my nieces.
Everyone is right but I think one thing to keep in mind is something that will stimulate your mind in one way or another. I'm unsure of where you are currently employed but for me, redundancy can come pretty easily. With that said, do something that will challenge you mentally and can sharpen your mental skills.
I won't cover sports since it's obvious what the results are going to be.
Find a hobby that you've thought about pursuing but never had the time. For me, and this may sound a bit ridiculous but, I've always wanted to learn how to mix music. So with that said (and it can be expensive) I have decided to teach myself how to do that.
All in all, whatever keeps you sane and happy at the end of the day will work just fine.
Its a balance to make sure you live an active life. Personally i try to throw a round of disc golf a day so i can say i was active. Then i typically like to relax, of course relax means enjoying some cold home brew
I play lawn tennis, go out with my friends or just relax and listen to music all the time.

Whats a good way to go about learning to hunt?
What are some good hobbies for a guy to have?
Active or relaxed, when the work day is done how do you play?
What is a breed of dog, average in size, that has a very good attention span and is relatively calm?
I'm unsure as to whether you are asking for advice, or are just curious of what other men do.
That said, gym, sex, video games, in that order.
