When I was in college, Adidas sandals were the popular choice for shower time.
Most of them are made of a plastic-rubber mix, so they don't absorb water at all. Some are made of a high-density foam, which might absorb water, but probably not much. Plus, they're easy to clean and are comfortable to wear all day long.
The Adidas adilette is the best, I keep saying to my self I will never buy another type and when the one I have wears out I will buy again and again, the only problem is, I have had it for 7 years and I have run in it chasing the mail man, showered in them, jumped into a pool with them, you name it and they havent gone bad yet. Im actually waiting on them to go bad so I can buy it again....

I use a pair of Crocs sandals (not the huge lug toe ones) but a proper pair of stylish sandals. The rubber stays dry and is very comfortable. Used it at the beach in Malaysia no problems.
Cheap, black plastic shower shoes. Military members have used them for years. Best of all you'll only spend about $3.
