Don't waste your time with creams and lotions. If it bothers you enough, get IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments marketed under trade names such as PhotoFacial. Its a laser treatment that can permanently reduce your facial redness by zapping the blood vessels close to the surface of the skin that give you that ruddy appearance.
It doesn't come cheap, but many people would say its totally worth it.
Not trying to be sarcastic but if you drink quite often, this can make your face red. I know personally the solution for myself has been drinking a ton of water. Staying hydrated it the best thing for your skin.
It depends why your face is red. You may have rosacea (as I did) in which case you need to see a dermatologist. You may be just naturally ruddy. You may have some broken capillaries. You may be in the sun too much without adequate protection.
Schneby's right - stay hydrated, but see a dermatologist and get to the bottom of it.
The redness in your face could be caused by dry skin. Luckily, dry skin is just a temporary problem. If you have dry skin, you're likely to experience one or more of the following:
A feeling of skin tightness, especially after showering,
bathing or swimming
Skin that appears shrunken or dehydrated
Skin that feels and looks rough rather than smooth
Itching (pruritus) that sometimes may be intense
Slight to severe flaking, scaling or peeling
Fine lines or cracks
Redness
Deep fissures that may bleed in severe cases
