My moleskine is my go anywhere do anything notebook. I use the squared notebook - large
I use it to draw out engineering sketches, write my weekly budget, set reminders for myself and take random notes. Anyone other than me that looks at it thinks it is the book of a mad scientist, with measurements, sketches and notes scribbled in an order only I can translate. I can however go back two or three moleskines and see exactly what I was thinking on a particular day which is perfect.
I use it at work, to take notes in meetings. Much nicer than the cheesy gilt-edged lab notebooks so many of my colleagues use - everyone always marvels at the elastic band closure.
I use mine when I'm in a pinch and need to jot down a note or two. I'm horribly forgetful, so it's nice to have something handy to write on at any moment's notice.

This is the best all-around pen in my arsenal. It looks like it's on the smaller side, but it is just long enough (for my hands - average sized) to rest comfortably on the webbing of my had between the thumb and index finger while i write. As an added benefit, the ink flows quite smoothly and has a finer point than your standard bic.
stuff you might see in my moleskine:
-calendar
-random writings/drawings
-half-assed calculations
-todo lists
-engineering diagrams
also check The Monster Collection for more ideas.
I use a Moleskine Pocket Squared Notebook. I like architectural design and when i see something that gives me a good idea i make a quick sketch of my idea or of a possible floorplan that will remind me of my idea later on. It is full of so many great designs. I also date every sketch.
sketching when im bored. writing down interesting quotes, facts and notes.
-brainstorming
-note taking
-napkin
-wrapping paper
-the cover can be folded into an ipod/iphone stand
-diagrams
-to do lists
-good source of fiber
-ninja star target practice
-kindling
-takin notes on an airplane
-paper airplanes
A good friend gave me one the other day.
And I am currently in jail... seriously. (I get out during the weekdays for work still)
What I used it for:
-made a calendar to track the days until I am free
-plans for the rest of my life
-chronicling my experiences
-making a list of my finances and liabilities to track savings (jail is a convenient way to spend less money)
-ideas and time line for travel plans on the other side of incarceration
-contact info to keep in touch with the variety of characters I have met "on the inside"
-keeping track of books I've read/want to read
This is some of the things I have done. Basically, it can be used for all types of information, provided you have the free time and writing utensils. Very versatile.

I have two moleskines, but at the moment I only use one. It's a thick sketchbook version. No lines, very thick pages for drawing (including painting I think).
I don't use it for much expect jotting notes though. Random happenings, and other things in my life.
In the back section I store my bus tickets though. Those will be my legacy to my children one day. I'll say "We used to ride buses back in my day!" and I'll have the tickets to show them.
