What is the best way to ask out a girl you work with?
And as a bonus, what if you know she doesn't drink?
hah! - dating a girl at work is such a bad idea, but I know you won't listen. This is one of those mistakes you've gotta make yourself to learn from.
If you aren't on speaking terms with her yet, then you need to make that first step and at least say hello. Maybe bring a yummy snack to work and offer her some as you walk by? (works best if its something individually wrapped so she can always save it for later). That should open the door to a conversation at least.
If you're already on speaking terms then you need to get a phone number so you can text (or an email or chat address) so you can start talking to her outside of work hours.
If you're already past that then man up and just ask her out. If she's into you too she won't care where you take her and long as it's somewhere.
and hang on tight - you're in for a bumpy (usually fun after-the-fact) ride.

Met my fiance at work. We now have a 14 month old daughter and we still work together everyday.
Unfortunately I can't answer the question because alcohol most definitely greased our first date (work night out, I didn't ask her out.)

Seriously, the best way to ask ANY girl out is to walk up to them and say, "Hey, my name is . I think you seem really cool, would you like to grab dinner sometime?"
Don't be a wuss. No matter how you ask her out, her answer is most likely going to be the same.
Tell her that you had a pretty rough day, and you'd love to blow off some steam; invite her to go mini-golfing or to a batting cage. If she's not super sporty, let her know you're thinking of going on a hike on a Saturday morning, and ask if she'd like to come along.
I always here people say don't date where you work. I've done it and its worked out and my roommate is currently continuing a relationship he started at our old job. That rule only applies if you think you will have a bad break up with someone you will have to keep working with. Just ask her because if she likes you whatever rules she has about not dating at work will go out the window. If this is like a retail job go for it but be very cautious if this is a career.
if you know she doesn't drink then you should know some other stuff about her.
Find out what music she likes and try to hit up a couple concerts. If she likes artsy stuff then try and catch a gallery showing or a musical.
If you are thinking about getting serious with her...i recomend you don't. and this is coming from experience. it looks bad proffesionally and rarely ever ends good.
