Sounds like your describing the Nemo Losi 3P Tent. The only difference is that it's got enough room to be deemed a "3 person" tent. Check it out: http://21gent.com/2009/04/23/nemo-losi-3p-tent/
I have had good luck with REI tents. I currently use a 1 person REI Quarter dome that suits me quite well, and is a very quality built tent.

The 2 person Half Dome gets good reviews, and is in a very good price range. However if your backpacking, its a tad on the heavy side.

The MSR Hubba Hubba (and in this case the Hubba Hubba HP) are staples in the backpacking community as far as 2 person tents go. Much more expensive than the REI tent, and perhaps a little of that cost is the MSR name, but it is a quality tent at a very low weight.

Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight 2

$200 for a great 2 person, 3-season tent under 4 lbs. I'm brand new to hiking, yet was still able to set it up in about 3 minutes flat.
as far as I'm concerned, there is only one tent for backpackers, the Big Agnes Seedhouse
It's light, durable, easy to set up and reasonably cheap too.

I have a Sierra Designs tent that I love, but it is an older model that is no longer available. Outside Magazine just released its "Gear of the Year" with a list of the best tents for this season: http://outside.away.com/outside/gear/buyers-guide-summer-2009/indexes/top-hiking-gear.html
