Brandon,
I'd highly recommend this Kensington Travel Adapter . It's an all-in-one device that has all of the different plugs built right into it. (You wont have to carry around multiple adapters like other brands.)
It's hard to see in the picture/link provided, but they're really popular at my work and I own one myself. Think of that childhood pen that held a pencil, a blue pen and a red pen. It had push triggers at the top of it to engage each type of pen.
This international adapter has that same concept. I'd highly recommend it. (Here's a Youtube clip for visuals.)
It also has a built in USB port if you wanted to charge your iPhone/iPod.

I use a really inexpensive set from Target - kind of like this one; mine doesn't have a full-on converter, just the adapter plugs and fits in a small pouch. I got it at my local Target.
Many gadgets can already handle 220 current, so often it's just a matter of the right plug adapter. So far, I haven't needed a converter - both of these handle 220 current fine.
