I've been using a combination of an older Norelco that takes the Nivea packets and a Gillette Sensor to clean it up and then some luster pink moisturizer to finish it off. My girlfriend loves it, but it is a tedious task when you are too lazy to shave every day, or even every other day. Is there a one-stop-shop solution out there?
The best way to shave your head regularly is to go with the HeadBlade Sport Razor It looks like a razor on training wheels but it really does provide the smoothest head shave around. The wheels provide incredible stability keeping the razor straight while you go up and down your head. It won 10 best designs in Time Magazine a few years back for good reason. Headblade has a whole bunch of other products perfect for head shavers and bald domes too.
Headblade
Use Headblade Sport shaving razor. On their website you can find various shaving creams, lubes and lotions for head care.

I have been shaving my head for seven years now and what I've found works best is a disposable razor with a pivoting head in conjunction with Nivea sensitive skin gel I have used the headblade and wasn't a big fan finding it difficult to get around my ears and this way you don't have to maintain two types of razors.
I have to agree with Jarrod. I've found that the shaving creme makes as big a difference as the blade itself. I use a Gilette Fusion and Nivea sensitive skin gell, and find my blades last around a month of good close shaves Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays!
I've been shaving my head for about 8 years now - I've always had great results with Gilette products.
I'm currently using a Fusion (each blade gives me about two full shaves of my head and face).
I use a good body wash/scrub on my head/face in a warm shower to get a close shave....no creme necessary.
I have been using the Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver for 2 yrs and shave my head and face with it daily. It also comes with a great clean machine.I highly recommend it, just takes a couple days for your hair to adjust to it.

How much should you tip a hair stylist?
There is nothing that will get as close of a shave as the current method you are using. I have had closely cropped hair for sometime, and if you want to keep it as clean as possible, it will take time.
Think of it like using all in one shampoo and conditioner, it may be easier, but it is never better.
