I'm a big fan of Aunt Sadie's Candles

They come in a lot of manly scents like pipe tobacco, pine, and leather. And they actually smell like all that when they're burning.

Here's their Gentlemen's Line

Go with a reed diffuser instead and keep the bigcats of the world off your back. Lots of scents available at places like Pottery, Crate & Barrel, etc. I'd bet that Ralph Lauren has some more masculine flavs.

Virginia Candle's Woodwick line has always been a favorite of mine. Scents are subtle enough to not be overpowering. Also, when it burns, the wooden wick sounds like a fireplace. Very cool.

Get something citris; it tends to energize.

Easy scent that all can handle, Yankee Candle Clean Cotton. Smells like laundry freshly dried on the clothesline. Not overpowering, and if you cannot use an actual candle, for building restrictions, there all all types of products that Yankee Candle makes that will be safer.

What about getting a diffuser? They last longer, can be pretty cheap, and you don't have to worry about fire (that is, unless you are a pyromaniac)

Here's one that I found at Kohls for $11, but you can find them most other places.

Aspen Bay Volcano Candles are by far the best "GUY" smelling candle I have ever found. A very clean smell much like beach meets woods. Have been ordering the same candle since my college years and now very lucky that my wife likes it as well.

Whether you go with a reed defuser, incense, plug-in or candle, I'd stray from strong fragrances. Find something simple and friendly. Personally, I've found that vanilla/french vanilla is a timeless smell most people seem to like. It's sweet enough to cover offensive smells, but not overly powerful to cause headaches.

Something else you might want to consider is a small bottle of Frabreeze. Spray down your office's carpet (and desk chair, if it's fabric covered) at the end of the day, as well as your gym bag (if you keep it in your office). The next morning most offensive smells should be remedied.

I would also go with yankee candles

I would suggest, beside telling them to chill, is to instead get something that will neutralize scents as opposed to making your office smell like how a fluffy poodle feels. You could just simply try putting one of those refrigerator baking soda packages underneath your desk.

Candles are always Iffy for safety measures. Go with a glade scented oil plug-in, something like vanilla and not too overpowering. Also from experience, if you use a p/leather chair switch it to a fabric office chair. Leather oils and body sweat create a formidable stench.
