No to the wicker basket. You need something tall that holds more clothes while taking up less floor space. I have this from Ikea. It looks fine, it has a flap that covers the unsightly laundry, and it holds 18 gallons of dirty underwear and jeans. Not bad for $3.99.
Ha! Unfortunately, I don't have any closet space, being as GQ as I am and all!
Actually that Uncrate post is what inspired the question, but I'm put off by the price. Thanks, Russ.
Yeah I agree hard to stomach 230 bucks for dirty clothes! Honestly I bet you can find something that would work well in an open room at Target or somewhere maybe bed bath and beyond if you have time.
I like the look of a large wicker box, like: http://www.basketlady.com/Lift-off-Lid-Storage-Basket-p180.html
If you're not into wicker, I'd recommend this basket: http://www.stacksandstacks.com/oil-rubbed-bronze-double-folding-hamper
It's attractive, solid, and CHEAP (less than $40)! My boyfriend and I purchased one a while back and found that the bronze finish didn't really fit our decor, so we spray painted it with something that gave it a hammered, wrought iron finish. Here is the product we used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00106C9CK/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&s=hi
Looks great!
