I have a job that requires me to carry a business phone. What's the best way to carry two mobile phones comfortably without making me look dorktastic?
Get a VoIP solution. I had the same problem and got a VoIP phone through SimpleSignal (although there are many others out there). They have a simultaneous ring feature that allows multiple devices to ring on one number. I synced my office phone, work cell and personal cell together. Now i carry one phone and no matter which number is called i have one phone (work cell, they pay for it) to answer. Three phones, three numbers synced down to one Phone that everyone can reach me at.
Well since you don't want to look like a dork the belt holster and pocket combo probably won't work.
Depending on office dress, most sports jackets and dress coats have a nice breast pocket that can comfortably hold a cell phone.
Another option is to use Google Voice, that way you can have your personal calls forwarded to your work phone.
You don't need to answer the calls on your work phone, but you could use it like a glorified pager and leave your personal cell in your desk / car.
Depending on your wallet situation you could keep one cellphone on each hip
Now, If I remember correctly, there are Chinese knock-off iPhones being made with two sim-card slots. You could run both your business and personal phone numbers through the same physical device.
Where to buy one of these, I'm not exactly sure. Here's an example but there are probably betters. Sometimes the knock-offs can be just as good, or better than the original.
Samsung offers a phone with two sim-card slots as well. And one of the new Nokias - S40, I suppose - has this feature.
You could make everything else in your life a little less dorky (even though dorky is cool these days)...then the phone situation won't matter as much...
Or you could keep one on your ankle like Austin, which is no joke the greatest thing I've ever heard. I have two phone and I am totally getting the ankle holster...except I do plan on answering it in public, a lot.
Two phones? Not a problem.
Do what I do, and use a Bodyguard vest rig to hold your phones, wallet and keys at chest level.
Besides making you bad ass it intimidates coworkers into fearful respect. Basically, the opposite of dorktastic.
If you velcro(available at walmart and hardware store) the backs together it doesn't look like two phones. By using velcro you can always pull them apart if you need to access your sim card or battery. Do not be a dork and try this with clam shell type phones(if you have trouble comprehending this. Umm.. you shouldn't have any cell phones at all). Vamenos pendejos!
I get around this problem by forwarding my phone to my work phone.
Stash your business phone in your sock (or in the ankle holster, as mentioned by Mr. Weir). Make sure you refer to it as your ""Bat phone"":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat_phone#In_popular_culture (As Ari does in Entourage).

You could get a Personal Area Network windbreaker. Those have enough pockets to hold your two phones and everything else you could think of. If it's not cold where you are, I think they make pants too.
Physically impossible. Streamline. Carry one phone. Use a contact manager like plaxo to sync your contacts across multiple address books.
You might want to look at call forwarding to your favorite phone and syncing your contacts as above.
Alternatively, if you have one for your girlfriend and one for your wife, or life/work if you so choose, you can carry one in your pants pocket and one in your jacket pocket (or whatever works for you). Then just be discrete. Easy Button.

Google Voice!
One phone number, online voice mail and advanced features. Free.
The thing is that it is invite only right now but worth the wait. Request an invite on their main page and they will contact you as soon as it opens up.
People I know use it and it works.
Maybe you don't have a problem at all? The only two guys I know who carry two phones do it because they are players who cheat like crazy on their girlfriends and somehow they've ended up at two phones as the solution. But if you're worried about looking dorky, just wear a bluetooth on each ear...that way, nobody will see both phones...(kidding of course). Another solution is google voice. These numbers will forward to your business phone, but can be screened....google voice also forwards text messages. I'm not sure if this solves your problem? Please vote for my answer as the best answer..thanks.
I put one in each pocket, but I also have a personal phone that has two lines, good to separate business and work but there are usually built in software (I know there are on blackberries and I believe there is on my iphone) to allow you to access multiple phone numbers.

Good question. I'm in the same situation. I typically keep one on my ankle (hilarious I know, but it's better than looking "dorkastic"). Don't forget to put it on vibrate or silent, and please... don't reach down to retrieve it in public.
There's actually an ankle phone holder available here: http://www.rimindustries.com/DeSantis-Ankle-Cell-Phone-Holder-N33-p/n33.htm
