At a nightclub this amount will be significantly more, especially at a top club. Sometimes just buying bottles/reserving a table/table minimums won't get you the best table, you might have to grease your host a bit.

These days with all the IRS crackdowns though, a good host will never TELL you the amount, but in most places (Vegas, etc) $100 is the starting point at a busy spot on a busy night. That's not including your bottles/minimums.
