O'neill Hyperfreak look pretty damn nice to me. Bit $$ though.
Park and Ronen are my favs. lots of prints to pick from as well.
Well Board shorts were actually designed to dry quickly. So any surf shop or Surf Brand like O'Neill or Hurley etc., should do you just fine.
When you are looking at them just make sure they are not made out of heavy material.
I just bought a pair of O'Neill Superfreaks. I got them at TJ Maxx so only $25 where everywhere else they are close to $60. http://www.oneill.com/#/men/americacanada/collection/men/casual/all/boardshorts/superfreak
Any boardshorts really will be fine, just don't buy from straightforward clothing stores. Any surf company boardshorts will work, like Billabong, Quiksilver, Hurley, or O'Neill.
Unfortunately for some, boardshorts are surfer inspired, so sometimes they're just too bright and crazy for some people. But most companies make simple shorts, like these from Volcom:

I highly recommend The Standard Board Shorts, they are in 4 different styles inspired by 4 different cities (LA, NY, Miami, and Hollywood). They are a bit pricy but they are each in a series of only 250.
