I use Stoners invisible glass and newspaper. The cleaner itself works well, but coupled with newspaper it's pretty good at taking care of most grime. Depends of course how often you clean and if you're a smoker in the car or not, so the first time may take a few tries.
I second Stoner's Invisible Glass. I used to do automotive detailing and it always looks great. Check out Stoner's other products while you're at it. SpeedBead, MoreShine...all great.
Try using regular windex but use a newspaper or coffee filter instead or a cloth or paper towel to wipe it off. Both will leave a streak free result.
Vinegar, that's it just vinegar on a soft cloth. It will take out streaks, water spots, whatever.
I use a 4:1 mixture of windshield washer fluid(NOT the De-Ice formula) and vinegar, far better than any off the shelf glass cleaner.
The hazing effect on car glass is often found on new cars, and is caused by outgassing of the plastics used in the interior of the car. Leave the window cracked a bit if you can. Most plastics in the car will stop the outgassing after a few months.
i detailed cars in NYC for a while back in the day -- the best results for non streak glass use any common cleaner Windex is popular then use old newspaper to spread the cleaner around and more newspaper to remove the cleaner -- you should use about 10 sheets NY Times size to do a terrific job - when your done the windows should squeak when you try to slide you finger on them
