I wear standard Hanes boxer-briefs, and by the end of the day, they're completely loose and stretched out. Is there a brand of underwear that maintains its shape and comfort throughout the day?
Under Armour Boxerjocks are the best. No cotton underwear can compare. Very supportive but so comfortable that you forget you are wearing them. Also keeps all your parts cool and dry no matter if you are just sitting around or running a marathon. A little expensive at $20 but well worth it. They come in 3 lengths. I prefer the 6" size. I started wearing them for workouts but now I wear them all day every day. Try them and you will never go back to cotton again.
I think you're looking for a bit of lycra to keep things in shape.

I completely agree with K F. I too used to wear Hanes boxer-briefs and by the end of the day they would be completely stretched out. I researched then ultimately bought a pair of Under Armour Boxerjocks for training and flag football. The first time i put them on it was heaven, the next day i bought several more pairs, now i don't wear anything else.
If you're not into boxerjocks on a daily basis, try the "Patagonia Men's Active Classic Boxers"http://www.patagonia.com/web/us/product/mens-active-classic-boxers?p=45096-0-203#reviews .
I bought a pair back in 2003 for low-key outdoor activity and immediately went about replacing my entire underwear drawer. Other than a few pair of the aforementioned boxerjocks for sports, I don't and won't wear anything else.
They're not cheap, but I've yet to have a pair wear out on me (even the original pair). They're light, breathable, soft and stay put all day, inside or out.
A testament to their comfort and quality: when was the last time you saw a pair of men's underwear have 110 reviews?
As a more economical suggestion, Sonoma (Kohl's private label brand) has a great performance line (1/2 boxer-brief 1/2 sport) option. They probably aren't as perfect as Under Armour, but for corporate denizens who like to hit the gym for an hour after work, they are great. 2-pack for 18 bones.
Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, $20/pair is a bit more than I wanted to spend. $200 to pick up 10 pair of underwear is a bit much.
As an alternative, and along the lines of Jonathan's suggestion, I picked up a pair of more affordable Merona Ultimate Boxer Briefs at Target. They are 95% cotton and 5% lycra, and as Michael stated, that lycra makes all the difference. Wore a pair all day yesterday and they were just as snug when I got into bed as they were when I put them on.
The best part is a 2-pack ran $9.99. They pass the initial test, so I'll pick up a few more packs.
I go with the Jockeys that wal-mart sells. I've got pretty thick legs, and the band on the legs holds up all day. And they're under $10 for a 3-pack. Downside is that the band on the leg is thick enough to potentially be seen through the pants. Give them a try, though. Cheap enough that it won't empty the pockets.

I've been wearing the Champion sport boxer/briefs. You can pick them up at Target. Really nice so far...
