There is always the balance between cost and effectiveness. I own a business dealing with air purification and other environmental services.

1. Anything is better than nothing.
2. Stay with a HEPA system.
3. Although I use high concentrations of ozone for my business, I do not recommend ozone units unless they are mounted in an HVAC system.
4. The Honeywell HEPA units sold at Home Depot are more than adequate for home use and will not cost you a lot of money.
5.I honestly to not see the need for an expensive machine because you do not live in a clean room or laboratory.
