Here are a couple: However im not sure how manly these are: Manly to me is a bourbon with a touch of water or on the rocks.

White Christmas:
4 ounces eggnog (homemade or commercially prepared)
1/2 ounce white chocolate liqueur
1 ounce Southern Comfort

Peppermint Patty
2 ounces vodka
1 ounces peppermint schnapps
1/2 ounces white creme de cacao

The best holiday cocktail IMO is:
Old Fashioned
4.0 cl. Bourbon, Scotch or Rye whiskey
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 splash soda water

Another favorite that my family always has during Christmas is:
The Brandy Slush

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brandy
3.5 cups Water
6 oz. Frozen Lemonade Concentrate
6 oz. Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
Instruction

Boil water and sugar until dissolved. Let it cool completely. Stir in remaining ingredients, except for soda. Pour into a plastic container and freeze. Be sure to stir occasionally until slushy to keep the alcohol mixed

Personally I think bourbon is a good choice for the holidays. But the Mint Julip in an answer listed above is not a good choice. That is a summer drink...you drink those at the Kentucky Derby. Ice cold on a hot summer day. Have fun trying to find fresh mint at this time of year.

During the holidays I like to keep stock of a ton of eggnog. its a quintessential holiday beverage and has a very strong distinct flavor so its easy to mix into. I recommend Baileys or some amaretto, Keep in mind these are quick mix and go holiday drinks. Another fun and quick mix and go drink is some Ice 101 mixed with chocolate milk, any peppermint schnapps will work but I recommend Ice 101 because it has a higher alcohol content than most of its competitors. The last thing to consider is that these are somewhat heavy drinks, meaning you're going to want to mix them strong if you want to get your guests all liquored up because lets face it nobody feels good after drinking more than a glass or two or eggnog. I don't know if these are manly drinks but then again I don't know many men that plan holiday parties with coordinating drinks either ;).

I think your best bet would be a hot toddy.
Cut a lemon into wheels, stud each wheel with a few whole cloves and drop a wheel into a mug. Add a shot of your favorite inexpensive whiskey (Old Overholt Rye or Jim Beam Black work well for this) and then fill with boiling water.
Super easy for a holiday party since all you really need is a kettle on the stove, and a handy supply of lemon wheels, which you can cut and stud ahead of time if you really need to.

Apple Jacks:
Take a gallon jug of apple cider, pour out about 1/4 to 1/3 of it and refill with Jack Daniels.
Throw in freezer until slushy or atleast really cold. Enjoy.

you can make a punch bowl of Manhattans; just use this simple ratio: 8-1. Meaning 8 bottles of bourbon and 1 bottle of sweet vermouth. or, if it's not that good of a party ;-), use 2 bottles of bourbon and about 1/4 bottle of sweet vermouth. Keep it cold with a single good-sized block (NOT CUBES) of ice.

I like Bulleitt or Eagle Rare 10 Yr Bourbon and Vya Sweet

Four/Five parts hot apple cider, one part Southern Comfort. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon. Works well with any decent store bought cider, and can be made by the gallon.

The above Apple Jacks works really well with Southern Comfort, though I like to serve it hot and with a dash of cinnamon.

My favorite large-batch, holiday drink is Glühwein, a mulled wine drink popular in Germany and Austria. It tastes like Christmas, and will get you and a group of friends nice and toasty.

Here's a basic recipe, though it can be more complicated, depending on who's making it. I've had it with rum added and with the spices pre-bagged (Glufixe), made by an Austrian friend, but I don't have a proper recipe.

This is the Real Deal egg nog, from real professional southern lushes. Note the text from the author: "The virtue of this recipe lies in the fact that authoritative strength may be achieved without an excessively strong bourbon taste."

"Authoritative strength" is right. This stuff will kick your ass.

1 Dozen Eggs
1.5 C Granulated Sugar
1/3 C Confectioners' Sugar
1 Quart Homogenized Milk
1 Quart Vanilla Ice Cream
1 Pint Whipping Cream
1 Pint Bourbon
1 Pint Dark Rum
1 Pint Vodka
1 C Sweet Sherry
Directions Separate yolks from whites of eggs. Beat egg yolks until fluffy and very light in color. Add 1 C sugar. Add slowly, while beating constantly, the bourbon, rum, and vodka. While still beating mixture, add the milk. Reserve 2 tablespoons sherry. Blend remainder of sherry with vanilla ice cream and beat into egg mixture. Whip cream until it forms soft peaks. Whip in 1/3 C powdered sugar, folding into this the 2 tablespoons sherry. Set aside. Beat whites of six eggs until stiff and dry, and add 1/3 C granulated sugar. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Fold whipped cream into egg mixture and top with whites of eggs. If it is desired to increase or decrease alcoholic content of this eggnog, the same ratio of beverages should be maintained. The virtue of this recipe lies in the fact that authoritative strength may be achieved without an excessively strong bourbon taste. Serves about 25.
