No "beach bag" will protect your gear or look as suited for the male species as well as a dry bag will. They're fine in rain, ocean or sand and can be rinsed off/out.

The best beach bag for men isn't a beach bag at all. A beach bag is a big, open bag with two girly handles. Most of them don't even close.
That Sperry bag looks pretty cool (and you can't beat free!) but the nice thing about the Northface backpacks that Ken C. is pointing to is that they allow you to strap bigger stuff (like a frisbee, basketball, skateboard, etc) to the outside and keep all your other stuff on the inside.

I bought the pilot bag through this site(a bag that holds the helmet) i use it for the beach/pool and love it, its huge, fits everything; bathing suit, towel, a zippered main compartment lots of inside pockets and two outside pockets, comes in black, blue, and green all in a nylon
