What's the current verdict on jeans with a blazer? It's a look I love to wear, but is it getting dated?
heres an idea, think for yourself and wear what you want...... Who give a F if it is "dated"! Unless your an individual who desperately seeks acceptance by the masses who can't think for themselves, so that you feel of some sort of self worth. but hey....that's just me

Jeans are jeans, no matter how much they cost. If you are planning on wearing a blazer, pair it with slacks or a nice pair of khakis.
I think the whole dressy on top and casual pants/ shoes is not a good look. Go one way or the other, don't mix'em.
It's a bit "I'm trying to look hip and casual". A good pair of slacks, maybe corduroys, a loose button down shirt and a blazer look casual without going too far.
Your personal style is always going to be a factor, but in general the trend seems to be heading toward being perceived as a bit 'douchey.'
I don't know if the fashion is just waning a bit or it's a regional distinction.
What I do know, however, is that it is ultimately very hard to go wrong with whatever you wear as long as the colors fit together and the overall shape and appearance of your clothing matches your body, bearing, and attitude.
I still think it's a nice simple classic look. Try a cotton blazer for the summer.

If your trying to dress it up throw a pocket square into the mix.
Generally, I think a black or dark navy blazer, dark (indigo/navy) jeans (relatively straight-leg or a slight boot-cut) and a white oxford/dress shirt are pretty classic. Just make sure the blazer doesn't look like something that comes with a pair of suitpants and you should be gold.
I like the look... just wear it with confidence and you'll be fine
Ditch the blazer....go with a cardigan.
