I have the American Optical Pilot Aviators with 52mm lenses and Bayonet temples. They look very sharp and they're the only ones I have found to be small in size. American Optical used to be standard issue for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration Squadron pilots. Now they wear Oakley - Polarized Whisker I think. You can find the AO Aviators at ":http://www.amazon.com
I think that Oakley makes some aviator style glasses that you might be happy with. the Tightrope, Whisker and Half Wire are three models that come to mind for a smaller/narrower face.
If you don't lose your glasses often, and don't mind spending a small fortune on a pair, the best glasses you will ever find are Oliver Peoples. I bought a pair of the Benedicts which are a classic aviator shape and liked them so much I bought a pair of the Victories:http://www.oliverpeoples.com/shop/men/victory-55.html which is a square aviator. The craftmenship is so far above anything else out there, and I've owned about a dozen premium brand Italian-made sunglasses. They are made in Japan, use super high quality lenes, amd I believe these two frames are made of titanium. You can usually score a pair off ebay for around the price of a pair of Ray-Bans if you aren't picky about the frame/lens color. I would recommend getting polarized lenses as well.
PS The 55's and the 58's are both flattering on a narrower face

I own a pair of Oakley CROSSHAIR an use them everytime I need to be out in the sun. While my head is not narrow, my narrow-headed friend claims that they are great fitting, and he does not look like an insect nor a coal-miner when he wears them. I have the Pewter frame, as the chrome looks a little too blingy against my darker skin. Unfortunately, they do not seem to make polarized versions any longer - which is a feature I really cherish in good sunglasses.
I like Oliver Peoples Victory Sunglasses but they're a bit on the expensive side.
Armani consistently puts out shades that look incredible and have less obnoxiously sized frames/lenses than a lot of other designers.

I have a pretty small head, and the Ray-Ban Caravans fit really well. They're still big, but in a fashionable way; they won't make you look like an alien. Just be sure to get the 55s and not the 58s.
