Audi Q8 Concept

All concepts give us a glimpse of the future. With the Audi Q8 Concept, it happens to be the near future. It's powered by a plug-in hybrid system that marries a 3.0L petrol engine to an electric motor for a total output of 443 hp and a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds. The exterior is sporty for a full-size SUV, with a lack of window frames, touch-sensor doors, and blue laser Matrix headlights. A head-up display uses augmented reality to place information and alerts in the proper real-life places, keeping your view on the road. The rest of the interior is dominated by screens, like the 12.3-inch display that replaces the traditional gauges and the multiple touchscreens that stand in for media, climate, and lighting controls. The all-wheel-drive production model is expected to launch next year.

  • Toyota Land Speed Cruiser

It uses a 2016 Land Cruiser body, but the Toyota Land Speed Cruiser is no sleeper. Literally every single component on the truck has been changed in an effort to make it as fast as possible. That includes a pair of enormous turbos flanking either side of the 5.7L V8, an ATI transmission, a specially-designed hood, and an obviously lowered body. The result is a one-off beast that makes over 2,000 hp and can reach speeds of 220 mph, yet still sorta looks like an SUV from the outside.

  • Chevrolet x Hurley Colorado Z71 Truck

Designed specifically for getting surfers to and from the most remote beaches, the Chevrolet x Hurley Colorado Z71 Truck is a far cry from the woodies and buses synonymous with the beaches of the past. Special additions to this concept include a custom rack packed with a pair of Pyzel boards, a Bimini-style bedcover, a bed-mounted Thule rack for drying wetsuits and storing drinks, and interior seats done in ventiprene, a breathable material similar to the neoprene used in wetsuits. It's finished with a custom exhaust, off-road lights, and a custom Seafoam Green paint job.
