Impossible Burger

We're sure there's an eating challenge out there somewhere with the same name. But the Impossible Burger isn't so named because it's difficult to finish. It's named "Impossible" because you won't believe it can actually look, cook, and taste so much like beef without having any meat in it. Instead, it's made from a carefully-blended, exhaustively-tested mix of plants that gives you all the satisfaction of a traditional burger while using 95% less land, 74% less water, and putting off 87% less greenhouse gas emissions. Impossible, indeed. Currently available exclusively at Momofuku Nishi, with more spots coming in the future.

    Soylent Coffiest

Regular Soylent will keep you alive and healthy, but if you're used to enjoying a normal breakfast with a cup of coffee, switching solely to the liquid meal replacement can be a shock. Soylent Coffiest should help. Its plant-based formula provides 400 calories, or 20% of your daily nutritional requirements, via soy protein, algal oil for energy and essential fatty acids, and real, lightly-roasted coffee that not only provides the same caffeine as a 16 oz. cup of joe but also helps give the normally bland drink a bit of flavor. Available in pre-mixed bottles so you can slurp one down on the way to the gym, office, or lab.

    Runamok Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup

Give your breakfast a hint of smoke to go with the sweetness by pouring on some Runamok Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup. To make this savory treat, they start with their best maple syrup — certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers — then age it in just-emptied bourbon barrels, letting the liquid absorb the flavors of the bourbon without adding alcohol. Arrives in a 250ml bottle.
