Lucid Air

While Tesla has its eyes on the lower end of the market with the Model 3, the Lucid Air is ramping up to give them some competition on the high-end. This all-electric luxury vehicle has a motor and transmission that were developed in house, with a battery pack capable of outputting 1,000 horsepower, pushing the car from 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds while providing 400 miles of range. Autonomous driving systems and OTA software updates are also in the mix, and the interior promises to be extremely comfortable, with executive seats in the rear, high-end materials throughout, and a 29-speaker audio system that uses active noise cancellation to keep the cabin as quiet as possible. Production starts in late 2018 with deliveries expected to start soon thereafter.

  • 2017 BMW 5 Series Sedan

It's been six years since the last all-new 5 Series hit the road, so it's overdue for a makeover. The 2017 BMW 5 Series Sedan is far more than that. As you'd expect from a modern luxury car, it has a host of autonomous features that can help drive the car, from a dead stop all the way up to 130 mph. A variety of twin-turbo powerplants will be available, ranging from a 2.0L inline four making 252 hp to a hybrid making the same total power, all the way up to a 462hp V8. The cockpit is equally advanced, with a gesture-recognizing iDrive controller, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a head-up display, and intelligent voice assistant, and it's all encased in a sleek, aerodynamic new body offering the best drag coefficient in its class.

  • Maserati Hearse

We've all heard the phrase "go out in style". This Maserati Hearse takes the expression to its literal conclusion. Based on the Maserati Ghibli, this 21.7-foot behemoth has a custom fiberglass body, and is powered by a 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine. There's LED interior lighting to put that angelic glow around the coffin cargo, stainless steel and imitation leather cladding for the rear area, and a removable stainless steel cross to go with options like an automatic tailgate, automatic platform, and tinted windows, since privacy is apparently important even after you're gone.
