Tolix Marais A Chair

It may have been designed in 1934, but the Tolix Marais A Chair looks just as comfortable in an ultra-modern lounge as it did on the sidewalk patios of pre-war Paris cafes. Created by Xavier Pauchard, the man who brought galvanized steel to France, this iconic chair is created through a process of 100 manual operations, is stackable up to 10 high, and still made in Autun, the same Burgundy town where the company was founded. And don't worry if you're outfitting an entire restaurant/lounge area — they make a matching armchair and stool, as well.
