Urban Cowboy Nashville

Whether you're a veteran of their Brooklyn outpost or simply trying to enjoy Nashville while staying as far from the Opryland scene as possible, Urban Cowboy Nashville has you covered. Set in a historic East Nashville Victorian, this inviting bed and breakfast breaks the mold with eight suites, each with its own design theme. Most have a single king bed and a clawfoot tub — only the "Lion's Den" has two extra queens and accommodates up to six — but no matter which you choose, you'll get to enjoy the company of the other guests in the meticulously decorated communal parlors. With plenty of farm-to-table eating, coffee, live music, and dive bars nearby, plus downtown a short drive away, you'll no doubt have plenty to talk about.

  • Rivertown Lodge

Housed in a two-story 1920s building that once served as a movie theater, the Rivertown Lodge is your new home base for your weekend getaways. It's just a two-hour drive/ride north of the city, and is set on Hudson's bustling Warren Street amid a ton of new shops and restaurants. The interior aims to be earnest and a little old-school, with wooden floors and a mix of vintage and clean custom-built furniture, much of which is the work of local shop Workstead. There's also a library and a communal kitchen on site, as well as a bar stocked with local craft brews.

  • Joshua Tree House

Located just minutes from the west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park and within walking distance of the village, Joshua Tree House serves as an ideal base for explorers and relaxers alike. The main house was built in 1949 as the inkeeper's quarters for the business next door, and offers guests two bedrooms and two baths, with the second bedroom housed in a detached structure just 10 feet away. Two hanging chairs, a fireplace, and the kitchen dominate the main living area, which is augmented by a spacious front porch and a jacuzzi in the rear, both of which offer views of the dozens of Joshua trees on the property.
