2014 Toyota 4Runner

When you're heading out into the wild, you don't want a car masquerading as an SUV — you want a real, rugged off-roader. Like the 2014 Toyota 4Runner ($33,000 and up). Built using proven body-on-frame construction methods, this stout vehicle features a towing capacity of up to 4,700 lbs, an optional Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, and a 270hp, 4.0L V6 engine offering up to 22 mpg, ensuring that you won't run out of gas if you trek farther into the wilderness than you'd planned. And for those times when you're forced back into civilization, it features a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, optional navigation and app support, a backup camera, an optional sliding rear cargo deck, and up to three rows of seating, giving you plenty of room for your gear when you're out on the trail and your friends when you're not.

Sponsored by our friends at Toyota. We're all born wild. The trick is staying that way. 4Runner remains a rugged beast of a body on frame. The perfect companion for those brave enough to keep it wild.

  • 2014 Mercedes GLA Edition 1

Ahead of the official release of their upcoming GLA Class, Mercedes has announced a limited edition run of the 2014 Mercedes GLA Edition 1 ($TBA). While under the skin it's basically the same (a turbocharged two-liter, four-cylinder engine with 211 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque), on the surface it gets a different treatment unique to this preview model. It sports blacked out mirrors, trim, and headlights, and a set of 19-inch wheels, with a very limited five paint options. Inside it gets all-brown leather upholstery with beige inserts, stainless steel control surfaces, an aluminum-trimmed instrument panel, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Unfortunately, it won't be available in the USA, but if anyone wants to send us one, we wouldn't complain.

  • 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Long Wheelbase

While the current-generation Range Rovers have all the serious off-road capabilities you'd expect, the majority of these sleek SUVs will never leave the pavement. So why not make them even more luxurious and presidential. As it's name implies, the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Long Wheelbase ($TBA) is a slightly stretched edition with a longer wheelbase (not seen from Land Rover in about 20 years) that gives you (or your kids, boss, or king) lots of room to spread out. With seats that recline 17 degrees, side door blinds, a panoramic sunroof, lots of storage, massive 22-inch wheels, and an immaculately appointed interior, there's few other SUVs that offer more. Available this March.
