There are tons of new products that complement the iPod nano, but as far as speakers go, this is one of the best fits we've seen. The Altec Lansing iM500 ($130) features a super-thin folding design that strives to be just as portable as the svelte player. It features broad-faced speaker cones to drive more air in a smaller space, MaxxBass technology to provide low-frequency sound without a dedicated sub, a built-in iPod dock, and an auxiliary jack to hook up other audio sources. Altec sound in a package that's 8.5" wide, 0.7" deep and 5" high? Sounds good to us.
