Amsterdam No Toking Sign

Although there is always been something taboo about pot smoking here in the states, our friends in Amsterdam have a little different view on the matter. Although the pot scene is still pretty wide open, there is a new experimental ban of pot smoking in the Mercator Square — and that’s what this sign is for. To keep from having them stolen, the city has begun selling Amsterdam No Toking Signs ($110) in the hopes that the people who might be tempted to lift the signs will pay ninety euros for one. Hey, if I were stoned, it probably wouldn’t sound like that bad a deal — plus, the proceeds go to a project to help kids keep from smoking grass.
