Audi R8

Audi R8

Wow. The 2008 R8 ($TBA; Q2 2007) is Audi's first mid-engine sports cars, packing a high-revving V8 engine that's good for 420 horsepower, in addition to all-wheel drive and the sexiest styling we've seen in a very long time. Built on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, the R8 also features Xenon plus lights, LED rear lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, an audio system with 7-inch monitor, and Leather/Alcantara seats inside a super modern cockpit. Our favorite feature though is the LEDs used in the engine bay to make the R8's beastly V8 visible even at night. [via]

  • Baldwin-Motion 1969 SS-427 Camaro

With the resurgence of Hemi-powered Chargers and retro-styled Mustangs and Camaros, why not step it up a notch and actually get one of the muscle cars these new rides aspire to be. The Baldwin-Motion 1969 SS-427 Camaro (starting at $169,000) are faithful recreations of high-performance Chevys of the past. Custom built to order, these bad-asses start with "donor" original 1969 models, complete with original VIN numbers, 450 hp, and modern comforts such as air conditioning and modern steering and braking systems. Still not enough power for you? Add a supercharged or twin-turbo big-block to crank the power up to between 650-1000+ horses. Truly a classic reborn — but hurry, they're only making 12.

  • 50th Anniversary Mercedes Benz SL550

We've been lusting after a Mercedes SL ever since the current body style was announced, but this new edition has us flat-out drooling. The 50th Anniversary Mercedes Benz SL550 ($TBA) commemorates the (surprise!) 50th anniversary of the original 1957 300SL, and it does it in style. Powered by a 382 hp V-8, this Pewter Metallic beauty features plenty of gadgetry for your inner geek, and wraps you in ventilated Cognac Brown leather seats while you buzz down the road on 18-inch wheels. We don't know the price, but unfortunately for us we're guessing that if we have to ask, it's too expensive.
