Bradley Propane Smoker

Some foods are best prepared smoked, but most of the time smokers aren't the easiest things to move around. Not so with the Bradley Propane Smoker ($100). Powered by propane and four AA batteries, this portable powerhouse burns Bradley Flavor Bisquettes, letting you create tasty smoked treats anywhere you like. The only downside? You'll probably want to stay close by when cooking, lest it be mistaken for a rogue weather station or mobile meth lab. In other words: it's not so pretty.

  • Whiskey Barrel BBQ Pit

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Made from a repurposed whiskey barrel, the Whiskey Barrel BBQ Pit ($950) features a metal interior and rack to keep the barrel from burning, and, well, not a lot else, except for the satisfaction that comes from grilling something in a whiskey barrel while drinking a glass of whiskey.

  • Viking C4 Outdoor Cooker

Move the professional quality of Viking from the kitchen to the back yard with the Viking C4 Outdoor Cooker ($3,225). This high-end outdoor charcoal grill sports a ceramic interior for maximum heat retention, a precise thermometer, top and bottom dampers for heat control, a removable porcelain grate, and 18-gauge stainless steel construction. Available with a 30-inch-wide cart with fold-down side shelves (The Android), a 41-inch-wide cart with fold down side shelves and two 15,000 BTU side burners (The Iron Giant), or a 20-inch wide mini-cart with wheels (The R2-D2). *Nicknames not official.
