Although Pinot Noir is by no means the most common kind of wine we drink — we do like our Cabernets and Chianti — this one is simply too good to pass up. Brewer-Clifton’s 2003 Cargasacchi Pinot Noir (around $50) is a wine of commanding, complex flavors including chambord, myrtle berry and even hints of red Jolly Rancher. Excellent, by all standards.
