Canon PowerShot G7

Canon PowerShot G7

The classically styled Canon PowerShot G7 ($527) proves that a digital camera doesn't have to look like it's from the future to deliver best-of-class performance. The G7 offers a 10-megapixel resolution, a 6x optical zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD. It includes Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer for clear shots, and the DIGIC III Image Processor with Face Detection Technology for superior image quality.
The G7 also offers compatibility with a
number of lenses and flashes for serious
photography enthusiasts.

  • Nikon Lens Pen Cleaning System

We've said before on Uncrate that a camera is really only as good as its lens, and that lens won't do you much good if it's covered in smudges and dust. The Nikon Lens Pen Cleaning System ($8) is a simple, easy-to-use lens-cleaning system. One end holds a retractable brush that takes care of wiping any dust or debris away, while the other end polishes out
smudge marks. It's highly portable, and
will work on other optics as well — such
    as binoculars and telescopes.

  • Leica Digilux 3

One of the biggest names in photography is back with their latest creation — the Leica Digilux 3 ($TBA, October). All-new from the ground up, the Digilux 3 is the first Digilux with interchangeable lenses, and it forms the basis for the new Leica D digital SLR system. The camera includes the Leica D Vario-Elmarit F/2.8-3.5/14-50 lens and a 7.5 megapixel LiveMos sensor that provides crisp, clean, sharp images. It also has both an optical viewfinder and a real-time preview on the LCD. We're pretty sure it is going to be expensive, but it should also be worth every penny.
