Words couldn't express how pissed we were when HBO cancelled Carnivale. Forget The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, or even Deadwood. Carnivale was the best show HBO ever aired... and the asshats only gave us two frickin' seasons of it. Mix together the Great Depression, a super strange traveling carnival with mysterious "Management," the battle between good and evil, and a young man with God-like powers to heal, and you get an idea of what the show is about. If you've never seen it, do yourself a favor and pick up the first season ($80) and the soon to be released second season ($65; July 18) on DVD.
