In case you forgot, Conor Oberst is a badass. If you need reminded, look no farther than the new Bright Eyes release Cassadaga ($8). The album, more subdued than the heavy Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, is full of slower, more delicate Bright Eyes songs. The voice is still there, but the presentation has gone from pissed-off child to concerned adult — and the music reflects that. You might think you have something better to listen to, but you're probably wrong. Standout Tracks: "If the Brakeman Turns My Way" and "Middleman."
