Claude Lelouch's C'etait un Rendezvous
As huge car fans ourselves, we were absolutely thrilled to receive a tip about Claude Lelouch's classic C'etait un Rendezvous ($30) on DVD. Not quite nine minutes in length, the movie features no special effects and no sound track other than the roar of the car as you are taken on a tour of the streets of Paris at breakneck speeds. No streets were blocked off, and the film was not sped up, making this one of the most exhilarating and dangerous short films ever produced. Any movie described as making "Bullitt look like a cartoon" is definitely something we might be interested in. [Thanks, Gabe]
