ColorWare Custom Painted Game Consoles

ColorWare Custom Painted Game Consoles

If you're bored with the standard color of your next-gen gaming console, let the folks at ColorWare do something about it. The company offers a custom painting service ($100) whereby you can send them your PS3, Wii or Xbox 360, as well as controllers, and get it all returned to you in one of 28 aftermarket color schemes. The glorious paint jobs are done in a scratch resistant coating and will give your console a sweet shine. You can also buy a new, pre-painted PS3 ($725) or 360 ($525) from Colorware.

  • Xbox 360 Elite

The rumors are true. The Xbox 360 Elite ($480; April 29) brings the 360 more in line with the PS3's capabilities — and price. This new black version of the Xbox 360 packs in upgrades like a 120GB Hard Drive ($180 Separately) and HDMI 1080p output, while the rest of the 360 features (which are still fairly impressive) stay the same. The bad news? It doesn't add a ton of new features for current 360 owners. The good news? It actually has enough storage to make Xbox Live Marketplace make sense, and HDMI output is just icing on top.

  • Paradox PS2 Controller

The Paradox PlayStation 2 Controller ($45) is designed to take your PS2 gaming habit to a new level. A special control lets you mimic a computer mouse to make things like camera movements and aiming easier. It works with compatible games via a USB port built into the PS2 to let you control the mouse features and gamepad at the same time.
