We're not normally fans of compilation albums, but Dark Was the Night ($10; $16 on iTunes) is one of a few exceptions. This double-disc effort was spearheaded by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National, and is packed with songs from today's best indie talents — like Bon Iver, Conor Oberst, Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, and more. The best part? Proceeds from the sales go to the Red Hot Organization, an international charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS. [Thanks, Ryan]
