Discovering the Waterfront by Silverstein
This album isn't for everyone. In fact, most of you will probably laugh out loud when you hear the first deadly scream. But if you're under 35 and dismiss Discovering the Waterfront ($13) as unpleasant ear trash, you're really missing out. The disc is classic screamo with its harmonious vocals, beautifully violent screams and dejected heartfelt lyrics. Sure, it's hardcore, but at least it's interesting and will get you going on a dreaded Monday morning like today. Standout tracks: "Already Dead" and "Smile In Your Sleep."
