It’s surprising how a design made of plywood in 1946 ends up being hailed by Time Magazine as “The Best Design of the 20th Century.” Well, that distinction goes to the Eames Plywood Lounge Chair from Herman Miller ($550). Besides featuring classic Charles and Ray Eames design, the seat is insanely comfortable. It is available in black, natural, and walnut — but we prefer red, since these are the only red Eames Plywood Lounge Chairs still in production.
