Final Fantasy XII
Finally, a return to a true RPG from one of the most storied franchises in gaming history. In Final Fantasy XII ($50; October 31), you play as a young woman named Ashe who, along with a group of other characters, fights to protect her homeland of Ivalice from certain invasion. Since this will be the first "true" Final Fantasy released in nearly five years (Final Fantasy X; Dec. '01) anticipation for this one is huge — so be sure to get your pre-order in now, and get ready to map out some playing time come early November, because you're going to need it.
