Fujifilm X-T1 Camera

As it has evolved, Fujifilm's mirrorless X-Series range has become more and more popular with professional shooters — and now they have an X-Series camera that's just as powerful as they're used to. The Fujifilm X-T1 Camera takes the interchangeable lens series to new heights, with a 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder that has a lag time of just 0.005sec, an EXR Processor II and X-Trans CMOS II sensor with built-in phase detection AF that deliver best-in-class autofocus performance and burst speeds of up to 8 frames per second, a weather-resistant body, and a host of mechanical dials that offer complete control without ever diving into a menu.

  • Sony 4K Camcorder

So you went out and bought yourself a brand new 4K TV — congratulations, take a moment to sit back and admire all those pixels. Though at this point you've probably come to the realization that there just isn't much video out there to let you take advantage of it (at least until Netflix starts streaming their original content in Ultra HD). Instead of waiting for the rest of the world to catch up with you, you might as well just make your own with the Sony FDR-AX100/B 4K Camcorder ($2,000). This remarkable little video camera is capable of capturing video far in excess of normal HD resolution, with a 14 megapixel sensor, a Carl Zeiss lens, and a BIONZ X processor. And once you've shot a few videos worth being proud of, go ahead and use the built-in WiFi and NFC connectivity to pair it with your phone, and share with any of your friends lucky enough to be able to watch them — we're sure they'll thank you for it.

  • Sony A5000 Camera

One of the biggest drawbacks to carrying a camera with you everywhere is no doubt the bulk — that's probably why most opt to just use the one they already have on them, their smartphone. But with the Sony A5000 Camera ($600), you get all the capabilities of most DSLR cameras, at about half the size and weight. So there's really no excuse. This tiny interchangeable lens mirrorless camera sports a powerful 20 megapixel APS-C sensor, and the very fast BIONZ X processor, while accommodating the range of E-mount lenses. It also features Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, a 180-degree tilting LCD screen, a built-in flash, full HD video capability, and includes a 16-50mm zoom lens. Not bad for a shooter weighing in at under a half pound.
