Garb: Indy 500

The 94th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing happens this weekend, so we asked our favorite American driver for his essentials when he makes the trek to the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Between practice laps, 29-year-old Ryan Hunter-Reay, the IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year in 2007 and the newest member of the Andretti Autosport quartet, shouted to us over the roar of the engines what he brought with him besides his red-and-black IZOD-sponsored No. 37 car.

Sony Vaio Laptop ($1,000). Puma Future Cat Mid Pro P Racing Shoe ($200). "Puma makes great racing shoes. These are made custom for me with carbon soles for maximum rigidity and feel to deal with 800 pounds of pressure we have to put through the brake pedal." Ritmo Mundo Extreme Chronograph Watch ($700). "I got this watch for winning the 2010 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach last month," he slyly gloated. Razi (Priceless). Ryan's 12-year-old golden retriever. "Indy is a long month and the one thing that makes me feel at home is having Razi here," he told us. Calvin Klein Suit ($500). IZOD Vintage T-Shirts ($15). Kymco Scooter ($TBD). "My Kymco Scooter is how I get around the IZOD IndyCar Paddock/Garages, and to and from appearances."
