Harley-Davidson XR1200X

We know more than a few Harley riders who would scoff at the thought of a hog with no chrome, but that's more or less what you'll find in the Harley-Davidson XR1200X ($11,800). Inspired by the XR750 made legendary by Evel Knievel, this performance sportster packs an isolation-mounted XL Evolution 1200cc V-Twin engine, Nissin dual front brakes, Showa rear shocks and Big Piston Front Fork, as well as a blacked-out powertrain and exhaust, sporty tank graphics, and black wheels with an orange rim pinstripe. With nothing to polish, you might call this the lazy man's Harley, but we like to think of it as a hog for the under-40 crowd.

    Harleys are cool and all, but they can't compare to the macho muscle of Deus Ex Machina Customs ($TBA). Based in an old factory building in Sydney, Australia, Deus celebrates classic custom motorcycle culture by cranking out their own unique takes on Kawasakis, Yamahas, Triumphs, and yes, even Harley Davidsons, giving each bike special treatment to take it from mass produced machine to one-of-a-kind mechanical art.
