Hennessey Venom F5

The new Hennessey Venom F5 definitely looks fast. And that's because it is. Or will be, anyway. Currently in the final stages of development for delivery in 2016, the F5 is out to break the 270 mph speed record of its predecessor, the Venom GT. Helping it achieve this lofty goal will be a next-generation twin-turbo V8 powertrain pumping out upwards of 1,400 hp, tons of carbon fiber and aluminum pieces that keep the curb weight under 2,900 pounds, an improved drag coefficient of below 0.40, a GPS-based stability/traction control system, and a single clutch paddle-shift transmission with lightning-quick shift speeds. If you can't wait that long, don't worry — they're still taking orders for the GT.

  • Jaguar F-Type Project 7

There are few things in the world of motoring that bring about quite as much joy as a great concept turned production vehicle — and few are as eagerly anticipated as the Jaguar F-Type Project 7. Set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in celebration of the 60th anniversary of its inspiration, the D-Type, this two-seater roadster will be limited to a run of just 250 cars. Sporting a 542-horsepower supercharged five-liter V8 engine, this track-ready yet street-legal racer will feature an appropriately British racing green paint job with white accents and stripes. So pull on your fire suit and driving gloves, because this throwback sports car is meant to go fast.

  • Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition

If you were able to pull your eyes away from World Cup Soccer this weekend for a little while, you may just have caught a bit of the 24 Hours of LeMans. And even though Porsche wasn't able to pull out a win against long-time rival Audi, that didn't stop them from releasing the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition in honor of the world's oldest endurance sports car race. Sporting the signature Martini Racing stripes, this Carrera S features a 3.8-liter flat six with 400 horsepower, upgraded aerodynamics, black leather sport seats, and a Bose sound system (just in case you want to drown out the more vocal Audi supporters).
