iLoupe

iLoupe

If you thought your camera's macro mode was impressive, check this thing out. The iLoupe ($TBA) is the world's first portable digital field microscope/camera. What that means is that you can hook this thing up to a Canon SD600 6-megapixel camera and take digital pictures of an ant's leg hair or a gnat's runny nose. The removable microscopic module features lens magnifications ranging from 60x to 150x. [via]

  • HP Presto Printer

Everyone has that technology-challenged loved one that hasn't yet joined the email generation. Well, now they can at least receive emails, all without touching a computer. The HP Printing Mailbox for Presto ($150; Nov. 1) uses the new dial-up email service to retrieve messages sent to their Presto email account, and then prints them out according to the selected Presto Style. Presto Styles reformat messages to appear in full color, improving readability. The service costs $10 a month or $100 a year.
