Not every game on the Xbox has to be a mindless slaughter, and there is no better proof of this than Jade Empire ($30). Based in ancient China, you guide your character through tough decisions and challenges, all the while deciding whether to walk the path of the "Open Palm" (good) or succumb to the temptations of the "Closed Fist" (evil). Gorgeous visuals, a great, involved storyline, and tons of action make Jade Empire not just the best RPG on the Xbox, but one of the best we've seen in recent memory.
