Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia Tequila

Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia Tequila

Hand crafted and aged in Tequlia, Mexico — no, really — and featuring one of the most bizarre packages we've even seen for a premium liquor, it should go without saying that Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia ($159) isn't your typical party-time tequila. The box was created by Mexican artist Marco Arce, while the tequila is made from hand-selected agaves, and aged a minimum of three years in French Limousin and American oak barrels. With notes of pepper, caramel, vanilla, green pepper, and dried herbs, amongst other flavors, Reserva De La Familia has more in common with a great brandy than its namesake's cheapest booze.

  • Jose Cuervo Especial Silver Tequila

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style with Jose Cuervo Especial Silver ($18). This premium silver tequila was blended with smoothness in mind, is bottled directly after distillation, and contains light Agave notes and a smooth, clean finish, without the harsh bite of your normal tequila shot. Pick up a bottle on your way home and have a couple shots for us.

  • Maestro Dobel Tequila

If you've got a passion for tequila, you can't do much better than Maestro Dobel Tequila ($75). This hand-crafted tequila is the first-ever diamond-clear tequila, thanks to a proprietary blending and filtration technique. Made from hand-selected agave (picked from the volcanic lowlands of the Jalisco region), Maestro Dobel is actually the combination of three different aged tequilas — Reposado (rested 15 months), Anejo (rested 24 months), and Extra-Anejo (rested for 36 months). For a special feel, each sleek, metallic-bottomed bottle is filled and labeled by hand and then individually numbered.
