Kicker iKick

Leave it to the Godfather of car audio to release the best iPod sound system. The Kicker iKick iK500 ($250) is easily the most powerful iPod sound system we've tested, and blows away the oh-so-overrated Bose SoundDock. This mean-looking system features two full-range five-inch woofers, two 3/4-inch tweeters, a built-in 40-watt stereo amp, and an unexpected (but much appreciated) 6-inch square reflex subwoofer around back. In addition to the slick, blue-glowing control knob, the iKick also features onboard bass and treble adjustments and comes with a slim wireless remote. An 1/8-inch auxiliary port and RCA inputs allow you to use the system with other sources. It works with all iPods and (though there aren't any dock inserts for it) the iPhone in Airplane Mode. With the iKick priced lower than any "competitor" we can recall, there's simply no reason to consider any other iPod stereo systems at this point.
