Sporting a 660 horsepower, 6.5 litre V12 and F-22 Raptor-inspired styling, the Lamborghini Reventón (€1 million, around $1.4 million) is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini ever. Along with a composite carbon fibre exterior, the Reventón packs features like carbon brake disks, heatproof LEDs for rear indicator lights, black aluminum wheels with carbon fin accents, and other reminders that the 100 folks who were lucky enough to get one are driving a masterstroke of exotic automotive design. Gorgeous only begins to describe the Tramontana ($660,000), which features design cues both classic and modern, timeless and futuristic, from both F1 cars and fighter jets. And it has the performance to back up its stunning looks, with a central 5.5 liter, twin-turbo V12 pumping out 720hp, a 100% carbon fiber chassis, 20-inch wheels, and safety that passes official FIA regulations. If you happen to be in the market, act quickly — only 12 a year will be built. [Thanks, Bob]
Black on black has never looked so good. It's no secret that the Porsche Design Studio makes some insanely awesome stuff. And you knew it was only a matter of time before they collaborated with their brothers at the car factory. The Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 ($TBA; Jan. 2008) is a limited edition (only 777 are being made) black beauty, featuring a triple racing stripe, blacked out interior, 19-inch wheels, and a lower stance. The 295-hp ride also comes with a briefcase containing Porsche Design's Flat Six Chronograph watch, a pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen, and a key ring.
