LEM Piston Stool

LEM Piston Stool

When you’ve been named Product of the Year at a prestigious design conference, chances are you’re pretty damn cool. The LEM Piston Stool by Shin and Tomoko Azumi ($600) fits the bill, winning the award at the International Interior Design Awards in 2000. It’s unique and innovative design features a fully rotating seat, contract-quality build, and a gas cylinder that adjusts the stool’s height from counter height (26.5”) to bar height (31”) with a flick of a lever. Not to mention that it comes in wood, leather, and all stainless — for the times when the bar is made of wood — and as we all know, wood overload is never good.
